Seraphim are the highest ranking angels in all the upper planes, and their power is just shy of the gods themselves. They are often depicted as giant eyeballs or humanoids surrounded by six pairs of wings and sporting an aura of holy fire. Seraphim act as the personal bodyguards and attendants to the gods, and use sacred phrases to communicate the gods’ will to the angels below them, as well as smite the wicked.
Seeking out a Seraphim is no easy task, given how rare it is for one to descend to the material plane, but doing so could grant one divine knowledge and power.
Little is known about these angels as they stay in the upper planes for a majority of their time and are invisible when on the material plane, but one descending to the material plane surely marks the coming of a major historical event or other such omen.
Seraphim are gifted with knowledge on all things, from the multiverse’s beginning to its eventual end. Because of this, they cannot be deceived and swiftly deliver severe retribution to anyone foolish enough to try. Seraphim, being closest to the upper planes and the gods, are incorruptible and immune to dark impulses and mind manipulation magics.
